Exploring the Impact of Child Care Benefits on Kansas Businesses
Following interviews with five business leaders in Kansas, conducted on behalf of Child Care Aware of Kansas, this article was written to describe the positive effects of the implementation of child care benefits in businesses of varying sizes. This article demonstrates not only one example of Casadie Smith's applied storytelling writing, but also an example of her interviewing skillset.

"Just as Scared as I Am": Daughters' Perspectives of the Impact of the Overturning of Roe v. Wade on Mother-Daughter Reproductive Conversations
Casadie Smith's Master's thesis is a significant example of her qualitative research design, implementation, methodology, and writing. This work identifies a gap in existing literature about mother-daughter communication about reproduction, and serves to provide initial insight into how daughters felt that their conversations with their mothers about reproductive issues changed in the wake of this monumental event, but also have the potential to contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the larger impact of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
